Principal's Message
It's Spring time and new things are growing! We are well into our 3rd marking period of the 2023-2024 school year which means our students are closer to the next grade. We have entered "testing season" and some of you are aware of what this actually means and others, namely our 3rd grade families will be new to this time of year. We are gearing up to take our state assessments that will ultimately show just how hard everyone has worked this school year including you, our families. It also means warmer weather is just around the corner. I know, I know, warmer weather has been here but it's only visiting these days! When we get back from Spring Break, perhaps it will stay a while. Speaking of Spring Break, I hope that you take that time to hang with family and enjoy some outside time, vacation, or do nothing at all. The staff here is going to take this time to recharge and get ready for the home stretch. In the next few months, there will be much work going on in our classrooms but we plan to balance that work out with occassional play. We have field trips, field days, walking trips, celebrations and the ultimate conclusion to our year, WATER DAY! Of course we encourage students to be on their best Superstar behavior so they can enjoy all of the fun things we have planned. Please help us ensure that our students don't miss academics or play by being present in school as long as they are not ill. This includes tardies (late to school) and early dismissals.
As the weather gets warmer, please remember or check out our dress code. If students are not dressed according to our dress code, Mrs. Metzner, our nurse, will contact you. As always thanks in advance for your support and cooperation.
As always, we want to “Leave the World Better than We Found It” and remember to "Be Respectful, Responsible, Safe and KIND! It is my hope that you will partner with us in teaching, modeling and expecting the same from our “SUPERSTARS.”
